Choosing
When choosing your jewellery, keep your lifestyle and regular activities in mind. We strongly advise our customers against wearing jewellery to beaches, swimming pools, public theme parks or when doing sports, so to avoid knocking, scratching or losing your favourite jewels. Repeated contact with perfumes, cosmetics, bleach, household detergents or chemicals, ultrasonic cleaning or insecticides may damage the diamond and gemstones that decorate your jewellery.
Caring and Cleaning
For most jewellery, you can keep them in good condition by cleaning them, every so often, with lukewarm soapy water and scrubbing them with a small, very soft brush, one at a time. Carefully rinse and dry with a clean cloth before storage. With rings, we recommend you to remove finger rings when you wash your hands because particles of soap maybecome lodged in the gaps. However, jewellery with pearls and/or emeralds should only be rinsed with cold water with extreme care and lightly patted dry with a clean soft cloth before storage.
Diamonds attract skin oil and dusts; wipe the diamonds in your jewellery with diamond cloth after wear on a regular basis to ensure shine and brilliance. All jewellery should bechecked and cleaned professionally yearly. Bee’s Diamonds is happy to provide these services to you when you next visit. Contact our Customer Service team at info@beesdiamonds.com to arrange for your jewellery’s checkup appointment.
Storage
We recommend that you store your jewellery individually to avoid scratching when they come into contact with each other. Each jewellery should be stored separately in the jewellery protective box given to you at the time of your purchase at Bee's Diamonds. We do not suggest placing several jewelleries together without separate protection. Also, protect your jewellery from impact against hardsurfaces and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces. Remember: even a diamond can chip if it is hit with enough force or at just the right angle. Before you wear your jewellery, check the following to ensure that your jewellery is in condition for wear in the public:
The clasp and its safety catch are secure and not loose; and setting of the stones is snug.
You can check the above by lightly shaking the jewellery close to your ears. If you hear a slight noise, the stones may not be secured in the correct location. Bring your jewellery to to check and repair. If you have doubts, do not wear your jewelleries until you have them checked at Bee's Diamonds.
